New Year’s Resolution
In the reoccurrence of cliches as people commit to yet another set of resolutions, I want to contribute my own. Time is so easily wasted and with a easy change in perspective we convince ourselves that the time squandering away is actually in fact an investment. If it’s hanging out with friends we tell ourselves I should be cherishing this moment, not considering it a waste but valuing it as a future memory that will become a part of who I am. If we are engaging in a leisurely activity, we convince ourselves that we need to relax and allow ourselves to enjoy “me” time once in a while.
Well I’m done with excuses and will not allow another second of my youth to slip between my fingers while time races on.
